Dare2share

Over the weekend i went 2 this youth group retreat called dare2share.

Dare 2 Share

Over this trip I felt like I learned a lot. First of all, when I first arrived I was really looking forward to sharing the gospel with people off the streets. So I went to the 1st session of the conference that was kind of like a sermon, but not a lecture. It really touched me because it taught not only about sharing the gospel but David and goliath, and bullies. It was talking how to face you’re bully and that touched me but not as much as the sharing the gospel. They had a skit and it was a true story about a guy named Jim and he was really different from all the other people. He came to youth and he really got into it. The youth pastor, Ray, opened it up with this thing called a hell letter. It would say something like, Hey Adam I heard you knew about this thing called the GOSPEL, why didn’t you tell me about it, I don’t want to burn down here in hell, I’d want to spend eternal life with God in heaven. Then he started talking about that every second a person died, and most of them went to hell. Jim started yelling out no I don’t want that to happen, the other youth started laughing at him. Later on Jim started bringing random people to Ray so he could save them. Ray got tired of and said something about it. Jim took that hard. Jim said that fine he would start sharing the gospel. Jim got beat up by his brother because he tried to share it with him but his brother didn’t want to believe that. At the end Jim died but it was worth getting beat to death by his brother because his brother got saved shortly after Jim died. It told me that it doesn’t matter getting beat to death if you can save someone’s life. Then we came back to the church we were staying at and we got up in the morning and went to the 2nd session that was supposed to talk about what we were doing that day which was going out and sharing the gospel. That taught me some stuff even though Matt taught about the gospel at one way. The Gospel was broken down at dare2share. They explained it like G- god created us to be with him. O- Our sins separate us from God. S- Sins can not be removed by good deeds. P- Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again. E- Everyone who trusts in him alone has eternal life. L- Life that’s eternal means we will be with Jesus forever. We went out and shared the gospel. I didn’t get to share the gospel with anyone because they all said they were Christians. When I went out it was a lot different than what I thought I was going to be. When you look into some of these peoples eyes they were scary. I did get to witness Eva and Dylan sharing the gospel and it was awesome. About the Concert, I was like yah I’m going to get some new drum techniques and learn some new songs, but I ended up jumping up raising my hands and praising God with Robert, Renee, and Courtney from my youth group.
